The “Youth Empowerment” project is one of many projects which Ofok has established. 15 Ofok ambassadors are selected to promote ICT among the youth with the mission of inspiring others their own age to receive ICT training. It focuses on development by giving young people a real opportunity to fulfill their potential by developing their interpersonal and IT skills. The project therefore offers:
1) Specialized Courses in Information and Communication Technology (ICT). Through our Ofok e-Academy we provide academy track courses from the best IT academic worldwide, as well as a number of complementary soft skills and business courses.
2) Student Activities. We provide workshops, human networking activities, scholarships, discounts on exams, and the right support so students may either find employment, or start their own micro-enterprise or SMB.
3) Project Support. Students who wish to develop a project – such as a software product – will be given support and funding to do that.
