The UNIX Essentials Featuring the Solaris 10 Operating System
The UNIX Essentials Featuring the Solaris 10 Operating System course provides instruction in the key features and capabilities of Sun's flagship Solaris 10 OS. Topics include file and directory management, controlling the user work environment, archiving files and using remote commands. In addition, this course explains fundamental command-line features of the Solaris OS, including file system navigation, the vi text editor, file permissions, access control lists (ACLs), command shells, file compression, basic network use, and reading shell scripts. This course is the first of a two-part series that students take in preparation for the Sun Certified System Administrator for Solaris, Part I examination.
Juniper Network Fundamentals
This course is appropriate for anyone new to networking and looking to learn the basics, as well as anyone wanting to brush up on a particular topic. This course includes a comprehensive glossary of terms that explain the lingo as it relates to the topic being covered. It also includes numerous interactive exercises to help teach and reinforce the information as well as test your knowledge and understanding of the topic.
A Final Challenge helps users assess their understanding of the concepts covered. The curriculum provides opportunities for career exploration, and soft-skills development to help students prepare for entry-level careers in IT and networking.
The Cisco CCNA Exploration curriculum provides an integrated and comprehensive coverage of networking topics, from fundamentals to advanced applications and services, while providing opportunities for hands-on practical experience and soft-skills development. The curriculum teaches networking based on technology, covering networking concepts using a top-down, theoretical, and integrated approach ? from network applications to the network protocols and services provided to those applications by the lower layers of the network.
CCNA Exploration helps prepare students for entry-level career opportunities, continuing education, and globally-recognized Cisco CCNA certification.
CCNP® Certification
Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP®) certification validates the ability to plan, implement, verify and troubleshoot local and wide-area enterprise networks and work collaboratively with specialists on advanced security, voice, wireless and video solutions. The CCNP certification is appropriate for those with at least one year of networking experience who are ready to advance their skills and work independently on complex network solutions. Those who achieve CCNP have demonstrated the skills required in enterprise roles such as network technician, support engineer, systems engineer or network engineer.
