What is ICT4All?
ICT4All is an innovative project that is budding from Ofok Human Development Initiative (OHDI) that is intended to contribute to the UN Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) and the Information and Communication Technologies for Development (ICT4D). bring IT literacy to as many people as possible; through offering basic IT courses supported by global IT pillars in the form of completely free scholarships targeting universities undergraduates where students will be taught by an instructor, gain access to the on-line curriculum and Educational Guide for free. Additionally, there will be a discount for Certifying International Exams.
ICT4All is a snowballing project started with the balanced well-programmed steps and we are looking forward to take a wider leap toward with confidence to spread the concept through universities' students and with the partnership of identities that carry the tools of change and the sensation of social responsibility.
How ICT4All works?
ICT4All courses were designed to allow students to gradually progress in their knowledge of ICT by passing different fundamentals of IT programs:
1. PC HW & SW
2. Network Operating Systems
3. Fundamentals of Web Design,
4. Fundamentals of Java
5. Fundamentals of UNIX
6. Open Office
Our goal is to focus on universities. So far we have student community alliances with the largest universities in the Middle East and Africa.
Ofok’s would like to welcome you in ICT4All project, please follow the steps to register to Ofok e-Academy:
- Press on (register) below the username and password fields.
- Enter the requested personal information, then press register.
- You will receive a confirmation e-mail then you will receive another approval e-mail from the administrator.
- You will be asked to login Ofok e-Academy then to change your temporary password, after that be able to and view your profile and the open courses.
- Press on Course Catalog in the tools bar.
- Press on ICT4All tab.
- Subscribe in the project Courses then confirm.
- Press in My Courses from the Tools bar.
- Find the course, enter the course Info and click on (subscribe).
- Find the Course link in the Course Info., and a new page will open directing you to the course curriculum.
- Join Ofok Human Network (http://ohnet.ofokngo.org) for experts help and support, connect with other students worldwide, and join the ICT4All competitions.
- Now study your courses well and being ready to take program exams in one of Ofok test centers network across Egypt.
