About the Ofok e-Academy
Ever since its establishment in 2006, the Ofok e-Academy has become one of the leading academies in the MEA region in the field of specialist ICT training and human development. The Ofok e-Academy is a regional academy for Cisco Systems, Juniper Networks, Sun Microsystems, Oracle, ETS-TOEFL, Phoenix University and OS-ICDL in the Middle East and Africa. It functions as a training and support center for local academies by teaching and training both instructors and students.
The main aims of the Ofok e-Academy are:
• To provide high-quality education to all students.
• Have courses designed to suit the needs of students at all levels.
• Provide students with continuous support in education and in projects they wish to develop.
• Build relationships with employers and potential clients who seek qualified staff.
Equipment, Facilities and E-Learning
The Ofok e- Academy provides all the necessary equipment and facilities for students to learn.
• We provide up-to-date lab equipment to all our students.
• We offer instructor-led and long-distance based learning.
• Our curriculum comprises of a global E-Learning solution which offers:
– In-depth course materials
– Comprehensive hands-on exercises
– Practice sessions
– Quizzes
– The ability for students to share ideas or ask questions in online discussion forums
– Progress tracking
Instructor Training
The Ofok e-Academy provides training to those aiming to become academy instructors. Certified instructors gain access to the Ofok e-Academy curriculum delivery platform, a global support network, and instructional aides such as class guides, lab manuals, and interactive tools.
The Ofok e-Academy utilizes a blended learning model that combines face-to-face teaching with engaging online content and hands-on lab exercises to prepare students for industry-standard certifications and higher education in engineering, computer science, information systems, business administration and related fields. The Ofok e-Academy curricula cover a broad range of topics from basic to advanced ICT and soft skills such as career planning and teamwork that are integrated into each curriculum.
Becoming an Affiliate
Our affiliate program comprises of promoting the Ofok e-Academy to local schools, universities, learning institutes and training centers. Affiliates will be located in specific areas to provide the relevant training and support to local academies.
Becoming a Local Academy Partner
Educational institutions are eligible to become academies. Local academies deliver training to students. Instructor training for local academies will be done through the Ofok e-Academy, and whenever appropriate through one of its affiliates. To apply for status as a local academy, you can contact the Ofok e-Academy and request more information.
Technical Requirements
The following resources are required to deliver the Ofok e-Academy curricula:
• A dedicated classroom.
• A PC for every Ofok e-Academy student.
• A sufficient Internet connection to support all computers.
• A local server to download and deliver the content.
• A certified instructor.
LOCAL ACADEMIES PARTNERSHIP COST MODEL
Local academies select which program or programs they wish to offer from the Ofok e-Academy list of programs. The list of programs is as follows:
